Personal data we process

When you visit this website

This website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages). Like any web host, Cloudflare automatically processes technical information about each request in its logs:

• your IP address;
• the date and time of the request and the page or file requested;
• your browser type and operating system (the "user agent");
• the page that referred you, if your browser shares it.

We use this information only to deliver the website, keep it secure and investigate misuse. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use it to identify you or build a profile of you.

When you contact us

If you email us, we process your email address, your name if you give it, the content of your message and any details you choose to include. We use this to reply and to continue the conversation. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) or, where your message relates to a possible agreement with us, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

What we do not do

• We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking technologies.
• We do not load fonts, scripts or other content from third parties; everything is served from this site.
• We do not sell your personal data or use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where necessary:

• Service providers that process data on our behalf under a data processing agreement: our hosting provider (Cloudflare, Inc.) and our email provider ([email provider]).
• Authorities, when we are legally required to, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
• A successor entity, if our activities are transferred to another legal entity, such as the Manuo company once it is registered. The same protections continue to apply.

International transfers

We aim to keep personal data within the European Economic Area (EEA). If a service provider processes data outside the EEA, we make sure an adequate safeguard is in place, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission (for example the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Cloudflare delivers this website through a global network and is based in the United States. It is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and relies on Standard Contractual Clauses as a fallback. For more detail, see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not place cookies and does not store or read information on your device, such as local storage. You will therefore not see a cookie banner. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Server logs are kept by Cloudflare only as long as needed to deliver and secure the website, in line with Cloudflare's retention practices, and are then deleted or aggregated. We do not export or store these logs ourselves.
• Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your message and any follow-up, and no longer than two years after our last contact, unless we must keep them longer by law. For example, Dutch tax law requires business records to be kept for seven years.

Security

We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access restricted to people who need it, and service providers that meet recognised security standards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe and will act quickly if something goes wrong.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly process their personal data. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, in Dutch: AVG) you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data deleted;
• restrict how we process your data;
• object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
• receive your data in a portable format, where applicable.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or with the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when we add features to the website or when the Manuo company takes over as controller. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. For significant changes, we will make this clear on the website.
